Big Island October 2007, Someone has offered a lei to the gods in Volcano's national park.

A now debunked windmill farm on the south shore of the Big Island the Southern most point of the United states.

Lush farms at over 3000 feet in elevation on the big Island.

An old car axle is used to anchor a diving platform at south point. where you can jump off of 25 foot cliffs.

A moss covered nail sticks out of a fence post over 5000 feet above sea level in an area known as cloud city.

Although the Whales are a regular sight in the winter it is hard to get good photo's without camping out all week long in the same spot. I got fairly lucky the other day and caught a few whale tail shots. Here is one I wanted to share.

What is there to say beauty in the sky. Sunset from High atop Haleakala and extinct volcano on Maui.

There are some great hikes here on Maui. This one is on the Hana side and was just a short hike from the road.

And here are those falls up close.

The Japanese Gardens in IAO Valley are a great place to chill out and relax.
